I want to post in respond of my previous post. I have decided to cover my head *only* during worship and prayer. I have done some deep research and truly believe that the head covering is not for all the time ...why? well, this is what I think:
The text in Scriptures ( I Cor . 11) ....
"4Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. 5And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved. "
...talks about both man and woman having their heads covered and uncovered. Well, one of the arguments that I read a lot about the women having their head covered all the time, was that the bible commends us to pray without ceasing therefore the woman should have the head covered at all times. However , the same passage is instructing man to have their heads uncovered, opposite of woman. THAT made me think - this MUST have been a commend for a specific time of prayer and teaching other wise men would NOT have been called to uncover thier heads.( Should he too have head head uncovered at ALL times??) We know that men , including Christian men, through out history has worn cloth, hats and other forms during different time in their everyday lives, so instead of focusing on the women , I looked at the instruction for the men in that passage and came to the conclusion that this was NOT a command for all times but rather like the word of God said - during prayer or prophesies .
I don't mean to impose my thoughts and conviction on anyone but rather , if you are too looking for these answers or never read this passage of the scripture, to have a second view.
Thank you you for visiting me and reading my post.

Oh Tita, when I saw this, I sighed with joy. I so wanted to draw again today, but was not able. But, your illustrations are so innocent and sweet, and reflect the longing in your heart for what is good and just. I TOO LOVE LITTLE CHILDREN and animals....you know how much that makes me so happy. I could live on a farm with horses, donkeys, sheep....I know I could. I also am happy to see that you have found your answer to the question you posed about head covering. It is not an easy answer to find, but with much prayer, as I know you have engaged in, we find peace. May we all honor God in everything we do. Blessings to a marvelous soul and special friend. I love you! Anita
I am sorry, but trying to compare what is said in the Bible about women covering to what it says about men covering, and then extracting from that it being acceptable to only cover during church and praying is not correct. Do not get me wrong, it is your own decision, one that each woman is called to, whether or not to cover and when. But do not go saying that your reasoning for not covering all the time is because of your interpretation of this passage, which is erroneous. I believe that you need to do some more reflecting regarding head covering. This is something that a woman is led to by God, not by earthly "reasoning" such as what you present here.
Once again, I want to stress, this comment is not me trying to attack you for not covering all the time. Please do not misunderstand. I am the only woman in my church who covers, and I do not view my fellow sisters poorly simply because they do not cover. God has not led them to cover, as He has led me.
Hello Mr. Ann~
Firtly , thank you for your visit and for leaving me a comment.
I did not mean that because I choose to cover my head during worship, it makes me better or any other thing besides obidience through conviction of the world of God. Like I said my post before, during the past 40 years that I have been alive, this has never been brought to my attention and nevertheless, I worship God with any other atitude that the best I could. I don't think ANY WOMAN should cover thier heads at any time unless they are convicted by the scriptures. What I meant to say was that after studying this passage in where men is required to uncovered their heads, it became cleared to me that this was a commend for a *specific* time and NOT at all times because it shows that man had their head covered with something otherwise it was no need to tell them to uncover it.So the same apply for the women.
This was a struggle for me , and in the church that we attend ,no one covers their heads and I do NOT look at them differently . If covering our heads will lead to arrogancy and pride rather than humbleness , it is truly a sad thing. My sin is always before me and THIS doesnot makes me better than anyone else.
Perhpas the way that I spoke came across like you said, and if please accept my sincere apologies , but truly from my heart , that was not what I meant!
Good evening dearest one! I miss you....I just came by to see your dear drawing! Enjoy your evening my sweet. Nita
