Harvesting ...

Hello dear readers....*grin*

These past few weeks the children and I have been working in both flower and vegetable garden. We have a wonderful asparagus bed that is 16 years old . This is the first thing that we harvest after the winter is over. we love the asparagus but I love even more now because I drink a "green shake" every day and I have been drinking the raw asparagus too... I know , I know, you are probably making a "face" now but wait... I did not tell you that LOTS of fresh strawberries are added to this shake and technically is not totally *green*!*grin*

I also have been going through buckets and buckets of pictures of my children. They are such inspiration to me and my illustrations.....grin!

The one below is Becca and Josh at our garden.... I am making several illustrations based on this year harvest because I found so many wonderful pictures that immediately made me want to draw.

I was "lost" in smiles while I was painting and looking at the pictures... I added our sheepdog Mattie in which seems to be the only one that found out a little visitor.... well, let's don't tell Becca....shhh.... she is scared of frogs until this day!*grin*

Costa Rica, Germany and Home

Oh wow... I am about to share with you a small part of two trips that I did with Mark these past 2 weeks. What a wonderful time we had. We first flu to San Juan in Costa Rica. I don't even know how to explain this amazing country. This is probably the most beautiful central America country. i was totally impressed with everything. From the gorgeous Fauna and Flora to how clean the country is.

I took a lot of pictures..even the food we ate. This trip was both for work ( Mark) and pleasure. It will take me some time to separate pictures and get them organized but I picked few to share here today.*grin*

After 3 days with meetings , we rented a car and drove towards the Pacific ocean to a little town named Uvita. As always , grin, my wonderful husband had some surprises for me. We stayed in a resort up the mountains in the middle of the jungle where we could see monkeys, toucans and many other beautiful animals.

The weather was perfect and so it was the view....
We explore the surroundings and among many natural beauties we found some waterfalls ..
..... and a gorgeous beach called whale's tail! From the resort we could see why this beach was called that ... because it's shape! the water was amazing.... reminded me of my Brazil!!!*grin*

We came home for the weekend but last Monday , we left again, now to Frankfurt-Germany. A massive annual music show named " Musik Messe" .(The picture above was self-taking lol.... not best but we end up with LOTS of pictures like this.)
We did a walking tour that last 5 hours. We were tired but it was so worth it. The tower behind me has a interesting story but is too long for me to explain. It is beautiful ,no?
This is a sycamore tree. Now, don't you agree with me that this tree is not very tall? What happened Zacheius !? He must have been a "really" little man!*grin*
The churches...YES! the churches.... I was amazed.... just take a look to these pipes!!
I did not have time to sit and draw but instead of watching movies during my flights , I sketched!

I got done some good ideas for my new Christmas illustrations.
We got home last night . We were gone for while and although I thank the Lord for giving us so many things that we don't even deserve, i must to say how blessed i feel for having my children, my farm ... my animals and so much more.... I missed all so much that when I got up I could not wait to get my hands dirty with my garden.
Our flowers are gently starting to bloom....

I love to gather these little white roses and let it dry. It makes a lovely addition to my gift wrapping with some silk ribbons too.
lots of blooming as far as my peach trees and some of my apples as well...

I will close with silly *Jackie* for now!!!! It is good to be back!!!
