Trip to Equador

This is a little different post from my normal posts. Last week My husband Mark, took me along to a fantastic trip to Equador. It was a business trip but he made sure we had enough time to see the most amazing places in Quito, Equador.

In the photo above , I am in the right side and the lady next to me is Lorena. She owns several music stores in Quito and in other nearby cities. I don't think I ever mentioned before but my husband is in the music business for the past 23 years. He has a business in Miami Fl and you can take a look here and here to see what brands he REPs. In some of these brands he is the exclusive buyer and he sells to the distributors.....

We took a teleferic ( not sure how to say in English ) to the highest point of this volcano mountain. The picture above is the last stop that we did. The teleferic is a little cart...perhaps is called skyscraper {?} ... that brought us to the place on the right of the picture. We had to walk all the way to the top and because of the altitude , there are not a lot of oxygen ... we stopped every few yards to rest , but it was all well worth it.*grin*
This was the other side of the volcano view overthe city.

The picture above was taken at the "Center of the earth". It is actually where the line of the equator is. pretty neat stuff. WOW!!!I was in the center of the earth!*grin*
If you look closely on the picture above, you can see a massive clouds. This was amazing.... these clouds comes and goes every day at the same time and pours rain in the center of a volcano on the other side of the montains.
I told Mark that I was dying to go there and that is what we did the next day.

In the picture above I was standing around the "mouth" of a volcano that has not erupt for about 200 years .... do you see the housing down there? people actually LIVES there! There is an entire community including a school. ... inside the volcano... isn't it crazy? I was fascinated with the clouds and rain... it rolled back and forth and a soft shower came upon us... it was magical and mysterious to me..

We did some shopping of course, grin. Here Mark and I were at the most famous local market.

Mark and I had breakfast everyday at the 13th floor... what a view!!!!!!!!!!

This type of trip is very tipical for Mark but not for me.... I have, for many years, preferred to stay home instead to go along because my children were young and I never liked to leave them even with my wonderful Mother in law, but now that they are other is different to me, although I miss them so much , I feel more comfortable.
The picture above is Mike Mangini and Mark. He is a famous drum player that finished his Clinic tour in Equador after visiting several other South America countries. He is endorsing Pearl Drums. I am not very familiar with these clinics but my chin dropped in seeing and hearing this guy playing .... he is AMAZING! Check it out!
I had a lot a fun and Mark wants me to go to the next trips now on.... yeah, I think I will do just that!*grin*

I hope you enjoyed the pictures.... I took so many and only choose few to post to keep it short!
Thank you for visiting me!!!*smiles*

OH MY.........MY MOUTH IS DROPPED OPEN WIDE HERE.....TITA, what a wonderful TRIP! It must have been breathtaking to see everything from high atop the volcano! AND THE CLEAN AIR? WOW! AND......YOU AND MARK LOOK FABULOUS! I think the last picture I saw of Mark was him in a bee suit, and he looked a lot different...or maybe it was your older son....anyway, YOU TWO LOOK WONDERFUL! And you are stunning! YIKES! You look just wonderful, I so wish I could MEET YOU! Oh Tita, I have missed you so much, but I know that you have much to do. YOUR RENOVATION PROJECT must be almost complete by now, and mine will begin at the end of OCTOBER!!! The builder came over, we signed a contract and give him a small fee to get things started. We like him very much and his work is excellent. We have seen his work on a very big and expensive home in Edina where I work, where there are a lot of beautiful homes. Our two=room project will be an easy job for him and if all goes well, we could have our new addition done by Christmas. WHEW....you must have a lot of unpacking to do! AND....I must leave now my chèrie, I have to get to work. I cannot WAIT for the holidays to begin!!!

BISOUS MA BELLE! I will be back later this evening since I cannot access my emails from school anymore!

MUCH LOVE, Nita

Oh, your sweet comments just touch me my dear sister. I wish I could play my harp for you; we would sit in my studio, draw, talk about girl stuff, dance, eat fruit!!! Drink tea.....the list goes on and on....you are my sister and I just adore you. THANK YOU FOR COMING BY and HAVE FUNNNNNNNNNNN WORKING! BISES, Nita
