Baking with momma!!!

Hello there~
I am pleased to share with you one of my latest work - An illustration of a simple , but precious moment - baking cookies with momma !
All of my children enjoys cooking and baking. I love it too, but is this time of the year that I enjoy the most. There is something * very * special about baking Christmas cookies and it brings out some of the sweetest memories to my heart.*grin*
My girls and I will be doing just that mid this week. I am very excited about it and I think they are too.

I cropped part of this illustration so one can see the details. You can double click to view it a larger too.

Momma has a very sweet expression. Been a mother of 7 children I always thought that "Patience " is one of the most precious gift a mother can possess because that leads to everything good.

When I had Kate , my second daughter , I found a little t-shirt that said "I think my name is no-no". I think all the children after her worn the same t-shirt!!!*grin*
I love the family gathering in my kitchen. My children are no longer babies but still young plus I have so many wonderful memories!
This print is available at my etsy store and it is part of a series of 4 that I will be sharing something this week. They are all part of my line of vintage style recipe cards!

Pat! These are just wonderful illustrations! I feel like you have invited us all into your past! Just wonderful! I too, have fond memories of helping my grandmother, (instead of my mother) in the kitchen, with what was so much fun for me, and work for her, but she made it seem like a real treat, as you have for your children. Warmest big hugs xoxox Christel

I'm back to look at the illustrations again! They are so good, and give the feeling of a happy, simple life. Although I know you are NOT simple in any way, the farm lifestyle is referred to as the simple life...It's honest, hard work, and you make it look so lovely! Can't wait to see the recipie cards, I'm sure they will be great! It is a very good, and original idea Pat! xoxox Christel

TITA! I AM EXTREMELY LATE...I saw this post this morning, but had to run off for we were late, I still had to drop off Ruben and then I had to drive very slowly in this bad weather. But I am here, tucked into my corner at the computer to see your magic on paper. The memories are yours and will never fade. They are as vibrant and soft, lovely and COLORFUL as these wonderful colors that you have chosen to use. I LOVE THE T-SHIRT!!!

Many blessings upon you dearest as you again make memories that your children will hopefully one day write about or share with THEIR CHILDREN!

Pat, these are lovely. Are you familiar with Tasha Tudor's work? You two are truly kindred spirits.

I am in awe over your beautiful illustrations and stories! And I agree with what you said- mothers must have patience. Visiting your blog brings me peace, which in turn helps me stay patient when things get hectic.
